Terms

Who you are buying from

Beatline software is made by Paul van Dinther, trading as Beatline, 13/5 Millais Street, Auckland, New Zealand. These terms cover all the software we sell, including MIMa. Our orders are handled by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service for orders and handles returns.

By buying or using our software, you agree to these terms. If you keep using it, you agree to them as they stand at the time.

Your licence

A licence is a one-time purchase for one person, for one product. You can use your key on the computers you personally use. Each product’s page says what is free and what needs a licence. MIMa is free on screen, and connecting a controller starts a 30-day trial.

Our software remains the property of Paul van Dinther. You don’t own it, and you may not resell, share or publish your key.

Fair use

Don’t use our software unlawfully, for fraud or spam, to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, or to interfere with the security of any system. Don’t reverse engineer it to get around its licence.

No guarantee

Our software is provided as it is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can’t promise that it will run without interruption or errors, or that it will suit your show. Test it with your rig, and keep a fallback for important shows.

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a lost show or lost income. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the product. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law.

Payment and refunds

Payment, tax and invoices are handled by Paddle, under Paddle’s buyer terms. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Ending your licence

We may end a licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if a payment is not made or is reversed, or if there is a security or fraud risk.
